OWENSVILLE, MO- Imagine this; you’re walking down the hallway on a normal Tuesday morning. Then as you turn the corner you see someone very sharply dressed. Not thinking very much of it you continue on your route to class. Then as the tardy bell rings you head away from your locker and turn only to see nicely dressed people are everywhere! Are you dreaming, or did you stumble into a school based runway? Nope, it’s “Tie up” Tuesday!
It’s not an official
school spirit day; however it certainly is treated like one. It was created by
members of the Young Republicans club as a clever way to show their
individuality. “Tie up” Tuesday comes around every 2nd and 4th
week of the month. Suits, ties, dresses, skirts, any way to show your classy
sophisticated self is welcome! Many participate in this fun day and it’s so
great to see students have so much fun with it!
It’s very similar to a pink Wednesday some of the sports team girls had
two years ago.
So when the next “Tie
up” Tuesday comes around the bend and you’re feeling like classing it up, join
in on the fun and tie it up!
